The movie is written by Lesley Krueger, directed by Craig Goodwill, who also produced it with Amy Green, and it is based on the novel "We Hear the Dead" by Diane Salerni. The book is the story of the Fox sisters who lived in Rochester and started the "Spiritual" movement in the second half of the nineteenth century.

The cast includes: Katherine Isabelle as Kate Fox, Katie Boland as Maggie Fox, Liberty Ross as Leah Fox, Chantal Kreviazuk as Mamie and Charles Shaughnessy as Hopkins.
